The Pool, an initiative of Homecoming Gallery in Amsterdam, is responsible for the personal details described here. We keep as little as we can.

What we keep, and why

When you send an order request or a question, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write to us. For an order we also need your delivery address and, if you ask for it, your company details for the invoice. We use these only to answer you, to deliver your work and to keep our administration in order.

When you subscribe to the newsletter we keep your name and email address, to send you the newsletter. Every newsletter has a link to unsubscribe.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your details. We share them only with the parties we need to do our work: the carrier that delivers your work, the payment provider that handles your payment, our newsletter service (Mailchimp), our email and website hosts, and our bookkeeper. Some of these are based outside the European Union. In that case the transfer is covered by the standard agreements the EU requires.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your cart is remembered in your own browser, on your own device, and is not sent to us until you send an order request.

How long we keep it

Emails and order details are kept for as long as needed to help you, and invoices for seven years, as Dutch tax law requires. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us what we have kept about you, and to correct or delete it. Email hello@thepool.gallery and we will reply within a month. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
